I have wanted to install solar photo voltaic modules to garden structures such as pictured here or carports where there was not enough roof space on a residential house  or where the roof  orientation was not  southerly facing .  They will of course supply self generated electricity to the home and reduce utility bills and therefore maintain a non reliance on ever increasing  energy bills. Here is a garden gazebo I built myself with MARR construction.  A structure like this does not cost too much and the slating could be replaced by a complete solar tiles system. Once again when building such a structure the orientation and roof angle can be optimized. In a carport option the PV array can charge electric cars .
